On November 28 and 29 2019, the LVR-RömerMuseum will host the international conference "Exploring Heritage - Museums mediating archaeology – Using digital methods to mediate archaeology".
Digital media are an inherent part of archaeological and historical exhibitions: virtual-, augmented or mixed-reality applications, interactives, projections, animations or large-scale immersive scenarios are in use to address diverse audiences and different target-groups.
The aim of the conference is to provide a representative cross-section of the status quo of digital media applications in archaeological and historical museums. Educational aims, implementation as well as practical day-to-day use or challenges of different types of digital media formats shall be discussed.

The conference venue is the LVR-RömerMuseum in the Archaeological Park Xanten.
You reach the venue best via the Park´s entrance at the LVR-RömerMuseum at Trajanstraße 10. There is free car parking at the entrance.

The conference fee is to be paid when registering in the conference office and it includes beverages during coffee breaks, a lunch meal and dinner on November 28th.
