4 September 2025 – 4 January 2026 in the basement of the Römermuseum
Millions of years old tree fossils, Stone Age hunting weapons, Celtic coins, intricately crafted Roman glass vessels and a gauntlet from the late Middle Ages: the archaeological and palaeontological review of the year 2024 presents exciting finds from excavations throughout the Rhineland.
The special exhibition by the LVR-Amt für Bodendenkmalpflege im Rheinland will be on display at the Römermuseum in the APX from 4 September to 4 January.
Visitors will be taken on a journey through time – from prehistory to the Roman era and the recent past. The exhibition showcases highlights and notable finds from the Rhineland's eventful history, such as a Roman cosmetics box from Bonn and a chocolate container from a Second World War bunker in Moers-Meerbeck.
