Holiday programme: ‘Journeys in Roman Times’

The holiday activities take place during the school holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Travelling offers a wealth of experiences: this was no different even in Roman times. Some sought to advance their careers, others set off in search of fortune, whilst still others travelled simply on orders. Our varied holiday programme invites you to travel and discover.
Hands-on activity: Roman Travel Agency – Where did the Romans go on holiday?
Relaxing on the Gulf of Naples or sightseeing in Egypt? Even the Romans enjoyed visiting distant lands. Which destinations were popular in Roman times? How did travel back then differ from holidays today? Come to our Roman Travel Agency and find out more.
12 noon – 4 pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, in the Playhouse, free of charge
