The Rhineland Regional Council (LVR) aims to make its websites accessible. They should be designed in such a way that they comply with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament. The following accessibility statement applies to the website www.apx.lvr.de and its subsections.
Status of the website's compliance with the requirements for accessible information technology
This website is not compatible with the requirements for accessible information technology.
Non-accessible content
We are currently working on improving the accessibility of the Rhineland Regional Council's websites. We ask for a little patience, as the Rhineland Regional Council - with its schools, clinics, museums, cultural institutions, special education networks, youth welfare institutions and the State Youth Welfare Office - operates a large number of websites, and accessibility optimizations also require changes in programming. When the pages were created, the topic of accessibility was not as advanced as it is today. We are trying to remove the barriers as quickly as possible.
In particular, there are the following deficits:
- Alternative texts for control elements are missing.
- Some of the HTML structural elements do not take a hierarchical order into account, for example there are irregularities in the heading hierarchies.
- Individual modules lack the required HTML structural elements for lists, enumerations and tables.
- The web content does not adapt to the selected output device and its handling. The offer is not responsive.
- Contrasts of graphics, control elements, texts and focus highlights are too low.
- The order of keyboard operation is not consistent.
- The syntax is incorrect. The HTML markup language used is not used completely correctly.
- The PDF document "Environmental Statement" is not designed to be barrier-free.
