A school class tries on gladiators' helmets in the Roemermuseum

Nursery schools and schools

Thanks to the unique historical setting of the LVR Archaeological Park Xanten, children and young people's curiosity about Roman history and archaeology is awakened here. In the Roman Museum, pupils can experience for themselves what it feels like to carry heavy Roman marching gear on their shoulders or how much effort it took to put on a Roman toga. The entire programme is tailored to the different needs of school classes.
As an extracurricular learning location, the Archaeological Park and the LVR-Römermuseum offer a wide range of guided tours and workshops. Acquiring knowledge outside the usual classroom environment gives pupils the opportunity to come into direct contact with original objects and also offers a variety of opportunities for shared experiences in a unique museum setting.
The modern teaching facilities at APXplore offer optimal conditions for all kinds of museum education and for an exciting day at the museum.
